that include all stages and explanations of the LESRA model. It includes detailed ways to launch, explore,
summarize, reflect, and apply math lessons.
It also provides “hooks” to use or launch a topic to make learning
fun. These “hooks” or ideas will be
useful when designing my lessons.

assessments in math. It has lesson plans

using the kindergarten version to start.

ReplyDeleteI'm very interested to see how using the LESRA model works with kindergarten students. They are very curious learners at that age! I heard the LESRA model was originally used for gifted students. If that is true, I wonder how it will work with all types of learners.
I'm going to look into that information about gifted students. I actually have had a hard time finding information about it so I will add that within my searching! Where did you hear that? Do you happen to know where there might be more info on this? My lead teacher said there is not that much out there.
DeleteThe LESRA pdf handout that you cited for #2 seems like it has a lot of information for you to use. I am also interested how this will turn out for your Kindergarten students, being a fellow KG teacher.
